Toe

These boots come with a left and right asymmetrical steel toe, which is one of the strongest materials used to prevent injury from compression and impact.  In addition, they also meet ASTM standards for electrical hazard protection as well.

Protection

In addition to the steel toe, they also have a durable rubber toe cap for additional protection in those sensitive areas, oil and slip resistant, non-marking rubber outsole to prevent slipping, and water-resistant Nubuck leather to assist in keeping your feet dry.

Waterproof

Comfort

These particular work shoes are lightweight and have the flexibility and comfort of a tennis shoe, which is nice if you have to do a lot of walking.  The Hydrophobic mesh liner also works as a thermostat, keeping your feet cool in warmer temperatures, and warm in colder ones.  Heel locks are incorporated on these work shoes to keep your feet from slipping.  A Metatomical Dual Density EVA footbed accompanied with the Compression Molded EVA midsole provides torsion and rigidity.

Durabilty

As far as durability goes for a work shoe, they are pretty tough and can stand up to a lot of abuse.  However, we feel a regular style work boot has the ability to outlast these work shoes in extreme conditions, only because of the style.  We do believe that these work shoes are well constructed and have those special features such as the reinforced toe with steel insert and the water resistant leather and would be a nice selection for those who have to constantly be on the move and require protection on the job sites.

Style

As mentioned before these are a work shoe that has added protection required for hazardous working conditions.  They resemble an athletic tennis shoe and they come with secured laces that can be loosened or tightened at the top.  They do not require tying, and can be easily adjusted to enable your foot to slip in and out.

Cons

Since they are a low cut shoe, there have been instances where socks have become wet if you are not wearing pants.  The arch support is minimal but can be easily remedied by purchasing additional inserts or insoles.  The footbed is removable and can easily accommodate a replacement.

Usage

There are several uses for these particular work shoes, they are especially ideal for someone who needs to move fast and quick, as they have that extra flexibility as opposed to a work boot.  Framers, roofers, electricians might find these work shoes beneficial in their occupation.  Even mechanics has found them a good choice as they seem to be very resilient to oil and fuel.
